Welcome!
A little about me
Speaking in the third person, Talisha Tolliver is an educator, consultant, public speaker, actress, comedian, writer, and creator of MAFF-Math Activities For Fun. Aimed at school-aged scholars, MAFF is based on the practical applications of mathematical concepts. The characters of MAFF speak in a colloquial style using humor and enthusiasm to present math in an accessible, real-world way and to make math less threatening to apprehensive learners.
Ms. Tolliver is currently working on her Ed.D. in Learning Technologies at Pepperdine where she was involved with a National Science Foundation Targeted Research project. Her research took her to Namibia where she provided professional development to math and science teachers on how to create effective educational videos for their learners.
Back to the first person: Yes, I know I'm tall. 6'2". No, I don't play basketball. Yes, I played mandatory high school basketball.
I have exactly one mini me who exited from the birth canal, but there are others who I claim as my own. I have a diva dog and virtual cats on my phone. There is a ring on my left hand, and we will make it official in March. I have a tendency to be a mite bit silly. That is the weird that fits me. Find your weird and enjoy it!
In case you were unaware, awesome ends in me.
